WWE Hall of Famer "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart On His Way!
WINNIPEG & SOMERSET, Mb - Premier Championship Wrestling (PCW) and New Xperience Wrestling (NXW) today made official the announcement of a co-branded Manitoba tour featuring WWE legend & Hall of Famer "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart!
The two leading professional wrestling promotions in the province have formed an unbeatable tag team that provides the best entertainment product to a wide-range of fans. This tremendous tour will begin Thursday September 29th in Dauphin, Mb, continue Friday September 30th in Swan River, Mb, return to PCW's home venue in Winnipeg on Saturday October 1st and conclude with NXW's debut in Notre Dame de Lourdes on Sunday October 2nd!
Tickets are currently on sale for all events and can be purchased from any associated wrestlers, from local sponsors or by contacting promotion management via Facebook (NXWlive & PCWaction).
Founded in 2012 and based in Somerset, Mb, NXW has featured a primary core talent roster of exciting young wrestlers such as current Heavyweight Champion Alix Vanna, Shao Ming, Michael Clark, the London Dynasty and many others. In 2014, NXW hosted Canadian wrestling legend & WWE Hall of Famer Bret "The Hitman" Hart!
PCW launched in 2002 with an event that drew over 1700 fans and featured WWE Legends Eddie Guerrero, The Honkytonk Man & Brutus Beefcake as well as featuring a young Kenny Omega! The longest running promotion in Manitoba, PCW has produced countless live events and brought in a plethora of big name import talents such as AJ Styles & Kevin Owens and developed several core roster members such as Mentallo & Omega, the latter of whom is the top North American wrestler in world-renowned New Japan Pro Wrestling!
While PCW has predominantly served Winnipeg fans, they have also produced live events in the Westman Area but this marks the first event for either promotion in Dauphin.
"We've wanted to bring the best wrestling action to Dauphin for a long time," PCW's Promoter Andrew Shallcross explained. "We've enjoyed great success with events in Brandon and Minnedosa and have featured many wrestlers from the local area. We know the great fans in Dauphin are eager to meet Jimmy Hart and witness the PCW and NXW Superstars in action!"
According to promoter Jay Walker, NXW has had their sights set on Swan River for quite some time, especially seeing as how it's the hometown of their Heavyweight Champion Alix Vanna!
"We were apart of a great PCW event in Swan River in 2012 with The Honkytonk Man and have wanted to bring NXW action to that community ever since," he said. "We know Alix is going to receive a much deserved heroes welcome from his hometown fans and we're all excited to give the city a great show!"
Already signed for Swan River is an historic main event featuring NXW Heavyweight Champion Alix Vanna versus PCW Heavyweight Champion Jackie "The Jet" Lee!
Tour organizer Jay Gagne promoted his own indie company, IWM Wrestling, from 2004-2007 and has a long history of bringing great wrestling action and legendary performers to events all across Manitoba between 2011-2013 and is looking forward to another successful tour.
"We're thrilled to bring Jimmy Hart to wrestling fans in these communities," he explained "NXW and PCW have great talent and we're excited to get back on the road."
Gagne teased that this tour was just the beginning.
"I've spoken to many legends who would love to visit the fans all over Manitoba and we have communities that have told us they want the best wrestling action to visit their towns. We want to thank all of our generous sponsors for making this tour and future events possible."
