Back to School Bash TONIGHT - Special Preview!

Thursday, September 26 2002

Winnipeg, Mb- Premier Championship Wrestling presents the largest wrestling event ever held at the Stratosphere, Thursday September 26th, headlined by a match that could change the creative direction of the company forever and a fatal four-way featuring some of the best junior heavyweights in Canada!

While PCW has set a new standard in local independent professional wrestling by regularly drawing over 200 people every Thursday night, this event promises to be something special.

PCW Vice-President and Creative Director, Michael Davidson, faces his former friend and top PCW Superstar “The Mecca” Shane Madison with the winner having absolute creative control of the company.

Davidson, retired from active competition for almost a year, goes into the match against the stronger and more talented Madison feeling confidant, “Shane’s a great wrestler, but he doesn’t have the heart or the passion that I do,” Davidson noted. “I may not be in the best shape of my career, but I’ve been training hard and I refuse to lose this match. It also helps when the referee is a personal friend and business partner.”

PCW Vice-President Andrew Shallcross will be serving as special guest referee for this pivotal encounter.

Also scheduled is a match that is already being heralded as a possible match of the year candidate, a Fatal Four-Way for the PCW Junior Heavyweight Championship as Champion Rawskillz defends his title against “Right Stuff” Ronnie Attitude, Kenny Omega, and Mentallo. Rawskillz has been extremely impressive since regaining his title from “Priceless” Chad Tatum at PCW’s Boiling Point July 25th, but this promises to be his biggest challenge yet.

The junior heavyweight division in PCW is among the very best in Canada and has been inspiring ‘Holy Sh*t’ chants and standing ovations from the fans each and every week.

“Ultra Violent” Rob Stardom will appear in a hardcore match against a mystery opponent. Since debuting in PCW several weeks ago, Stardom has been stalked by The Crimson Sheik, a man employed by the rival wrestling company Stardom used to work for prior to joining PCW. The Sheik is intent on ‘taking Stardom home’ to that company and has promised to bring a surprise opponent to face Stardom this Thursday. If Rob loses, he must leave PCW and return ‘home’.

In one of the most anticipated non-wrestling events ever, “Vicious” Donnie Dicaprio and “The Karaoke Cowboy” Adam Knight will compete for the Karaoke Cup in a sing-off. This one has been brewing for awhile as Dicaprio objected to Knight’s pre-match singing, feeling he was infringing upon his ‘gimmick’ since Dicaprio was the first PCW Superstar to sing in the ring several months ago. This one was actually headed to court before these two superstars agreed to settle their differences in the ring and let the best karaoke performance win.

Several other matches are scheduled to take place. As well, back by popular demand, is half-time entertainment featuring the best exhibition boxing display in Winnipeg.

Special VIP guests include PCW Superstar “Deadline” Doug Lunney and the former Light heavyweight Champion of the World, “The Golden Boy” Donny Lalonde as well as several others.
