Since the announcement was made several months ago that Mike Davidson, Andrew Shallcross and Tom Manos had purchased PCW, there have been few public remarks from the new owners.

 

This Thursday night, they will make State of the Union Addresses to the great fans of PCW and the entire wrestling industry. Exactly what they will say has not been confirmed but rumors persist that they will be addressing the past, present and future of the company. Given the many rumors and innuendo that has been flying around PCW in recent weeks, these addresses should not be missed!

 

Also, this week, the PCW debut of one of the greatest Canadian wrestlers in the history of the entire business, The Legendary Kerry "Pitbull" Brown! Brown is a 20+ year veteran and has won multiple championships all over the world. As the announcement of the signing of the "Pitbull" was announced last week, many of the 180+ fans rose in a standing ovation. Do not miss history in the making! The Legendary Kerry Brown debuts this Thursday night!

 

In the main event, PCW Heavyweight Champion and 17 year veteran Chi Chi Cruz takes on number one contender and 19 year old superstar Kenny Omega for the title!

 

Since coming to PCW last year as the Real Action Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, Chi Chi Cruz has been nothing short of dominant! Going undefeated for months, Cruz suffered what appeared to be a career-ending injury near the end of the year when he was thrown from the ring and landed on his neck on the cement floor, suffering a stinger and temporary paralysis. Not only did the 17 year veteran walk to the back under his own power, he returned to action one week later to the adoration and respect of the fans.

 

Cruz made his intention to enter the PCW Heavyweight Championship tournament known, but his manager, Mike Davidson, opted to keep him out. Cruz was forced to enter the WildCard Rumble where he defeated 19 other competitors to earn a spot in the Quest of the Best Seven Match Series to crown the first ever PCW Champion. Losing the series 3 matches to 1, Cruz battled back to win three strait against "The Mecca" Shane Madison to capture the championship.

 

His opponent this week, Kenny Omega is the fastest-rising star in the entire industry! For the past two years, Omega has been known as one of the very best junior heavyweight competitors in the business and a sure-fire future superstar! Last fall Omega suffered a serious knee injury that threatened to end his short career, but he refused to quit and made remarkable progress in his rehab. When Omega returned, he received a hero’s welcome from fans and was in the best shape of his life, having put on 20 lbs of muscle to clearly transcend the junior division with the goal of making an impact with the heavyweights.

 

Omega has been nothing short of spectacular since his return, dominating in singles and tag team action. One week ago, he entered the number one contenders Rumble and defeated 14 other competitors including "Outlaw" Adam Knight and Darren "The Bomb" Dalton in the final minutes to become the new number one contender and earn his first shot at the PCW Heavyweight Championship.

 

Kenny Omega, at only 19 years of age, seems poised to achieve what might be his rightful destiny as the PCW Heavyweight Champion and the best wrestler in Canada! The dominant champion, Chi Chi Cruz cannot be discounted, however, as he has yet to lose a title match in PCW and has beaten back the challenges of many young wrestlers fighting for his throne over his glorious 17 year career!

 

Whatever the outcome, Chi Chi Cruz Vs Kenny Omega is sure to be one of the greatest and historic matches in Canadian Wrestling history!
